After Alex and Lee parted, she felt so giddy right now. What happened at lunch was unexpected. She felt like she did when she had first met her ex. Alex walked in, checked in on her son and saw her son standing in front of the mirror flexing his muscles. She couldn't help let out a snicker.

"Mom!" He turned to her, "Don't you know how to knock?"

"No, sorry. I'm not used to having someone here. Next time, I'll knock. What are you doing anyway?"

"Nothing." He seemed really embarrassed.

"Okay." Alex didn't push. She walked up to the replicator and got her a glass of wine. Now sitting on the couch, Paul joined her. He didn't say anything for a good three minutes.

"Mom?" Paul asked shyly, "You work out, don't you?"

"Yes, I have to. I have to be just as strong as the bad guys." She looked at him, "Why?"

"It's Sarah. We were just talking when some guy walked over to her and said hi. He's a little older than I am. Anyway, as soon as he came over, it was like I didn't exist. I guess I don't blame her. He has these muscles that would make any girl swoon."

"Didn't dad ever take you to the gym with him?"

"He quit going. He was too busy to do anything with me."

"I'm sorry. I'll tell you what. If you want to work out, you can go with me and meet some of the guys. In fact, there is someone that I want you to meet. His name is Captain Pike." Alex got all dreamy eyed, "Now there is a man who is built."

"Who's that?"

"He's a...friend."

"That's what Dad would say then the next thing you know, she's spending the night."

"Oh. That's not going to happen any time soon. We haven't even had a first date" she emphasized, "yet."

"Yet? Are you planning to?"

"Yeah., eventually. But I do think you'll like him. Maybe he can teach you some exercises that will give you the muscle that the other guy has. What do you think?"

"Cool Mom, thanks." Paul gave her a kiss on the cheek and went to his room. He stuck his head out, "Oh yeah, there is a message from someone."

Alex got up and went to the computer console, "Captain K`Temoc? Hmm, I wonder what he wants?"
